What I Wish From Obama

*Preserve women's rights of reproductive choice

A women should have the right to chose weather or not she wants to keep or abort her fetus. No female should have that choice made for her. If the government decides to ban a women’s choice she will be forced to keep a child she doesn’t want. Government is made up of men, so it will be men making decisions for women. A man doesn’t know what a girl goes through during a pregnancy, so how can he choose for her?

If a 12 year old girl gets raped and ends up getting pregnant, should she be forced to keep the baby? If the government decides to only allow women to abort the baby should she be forced to get rid of a baby she wants to keep? This decision can go either way. Lets say the government decides to make the decision for women, and the decision is she has to have every kid she conceives, how will some women handle this? If a teenager is having unprotected sex, and she gets pregnant and is forced to keep a baby she does not want what is she going to do? The child will get neglected because the mother will always look at her child as something she doesn’t want.

What happens when you conceive more than one child? Lets say your 16 and conceive more than one child, do you have to have the choice already made for you? Are you supposed to be forced to keep children you do not want? The mother and or father should have the chance to decide for themselves. Its their fetus, they created it so shouldn’t they be able to decide. If a women wants to abort her fetus she should be able to have that choice, if she decides to get rid of the baby she should be able to live with herself no matter what choice she makes.

If the law is passed that women are forced to keep the children they create then its good for some and bad for others. If an irresponsible 21 year old who parties every night and sleeps with every guy, gets pregnant should she be forced to keep a baby, that she doesn’t even know whose the father. A women should just have the right to choose what she wants to do. No one should have to make that choice for her because no one could understand what she is going threw. Its her choice, and her body, her mind, and her thoughts. If she could live with aborting a baby or keeping a baby she doesn’t want then she should have her own free will to do so. Barrack Obama, no law should be passed about forcing a women to do something.

Life Changing Event

The day he was born, it changed my life. I never thought I could love someone as much as I love him. I was against him being born when I found out my mom was pregnant. It always crossed my mind that we were going to have different dads, and with that in mind I always thought he wouldn't really be my brother. When my mom told me she was pregnant I cried, almost every night because I was against it. When he was finally born everything about me changed.

I was at the hospital when he was born, just waiting and waiting to see him. He was born in the morning and later in the afternoon I got to hold him. He was the first boy in the family, and only my mothers second child. We have different fathers but at the time it didnt matter. When i got to carry him and smell that new born baby smell i was amazed. He looked at me in awe, the same way i looked back at him. He was already strong he had a tight grip on my hair, and never let it go.

I held him all through visiting hours, which was from 12 pm- 8pm, he was something more than a regular baby doll, he was real. Matthew was his name, and he was the whitest baby ever. He had blue eyes, and a head full of brownish hair. To me he was perfect. He helped me realize that being selfish is stubborn. When he was home he became more real to me, ever since then my life has changed. He has taught me to be more open to new things, and I love him to death. So thanks to my brother I have learned to appreciate more things in life.

Parents Are The Best Teachers

Yes, I agree with the statement that parents are the best teachers for their kids. They will be able to tell us not to make the same mistakes that they did in the past. Although parents might not know everything they are the best person to tell us what and what not to do. Kids listen more to their parents rather than anyone else. So do you think that your parents are the best teachers for you?

Parents will be able to tell us not to make the same mistakes that they did in the past. For example, if your mother got pregnant when she was like 17 and had to drop out of high school just so she could have you then she is going to try her very best to make sure you don’t do the same. If your father was a gang banger, or used to do poorly in school then he is going to have higher expectations for you in your life. Parents have been taught from their parents to do better than they ever did, its like a gene in a parents mind to help your child become a better person then you were. Us kids know if were going to listen to anyone, it has to be our parents even though they are not always right.

Although parents might not know everything they are the best person to tell us what we can and cant do. If it’s another person telling you, you cant go out that night then more than likely your not going to listen to them. But if it’s your parents telling you that you cant go out then your more than likely going to listen to them, they just hold a higher respect in your book. If you do something wrong parents will punish you, and even though parents don’t always give the best punishments they are doing it for our own good. A punishment comes better from our parents than from anybody else. Parents are not always right, but they do know what’s best for us because we’re their kid and no one else’s, even though they might want to change that sometimes. Even though your parents can not always prove you wrong or right, they are the best person to listen to.

Kids listen more to their parents rather than anyone else. If a stranger walking down the street tells you, you cant wear the shirt your wearing you’re not going to really care about what they say, if its your parents it’s another story. Some kids have a favorite parent, like picking their dads rather than their moms, or even the other way around but both of them have huge impacts on our everyday lives. Your parents are always going to know what’s best for you, end of story.
So since they know what’s best for us, shouldn’t we just listen to them?

Yes, I agree with the statement that parents are the best teachers for their kids. They will be able to tell us not to make the same mistakes that they did in the past. Although parents might not know everything they are the best person to tell us what and what not to do. Kids listen more to their parents rather than anyone else. So parents this goes out to you, although sometimes your kids may drive you nuts, we appreciate you and everything that you do.

A Skill Everyone Needs

If you want to be successful in life you need to learn things that will help you get through. Only skill that I think you need to learn in order to be successful in life is knowing how to work the computer. If you learn how to use a computer more jobs will be available to you, another reason learning how to use the computer would be a good investment is because so many things now a days are on the computer. If you learn how to use the computer, really well then you'll be more accomplished. When working on a computer things actually become easier for you, because their so high tech and fast.

A lot of jobs require you to know how to work the computer, if its typing, making payments, or ordering shipments. For a couple years many things have been online, if you learn how to work the computer and the Internet than you will have an advantage. Offices, and even businesses are homes to computers that do many things people cant. Computers just work faster especially when the person in front of them knows how to use them. Although many jobs will offer computer training, if you don't know about computers.

I think that since computers are so advanced and popular today that everyone should know how to use them. They really don't make computers that complicated, in fact I think they are easier. If you need to pay your bills, you can do it online, if you need to rent a movie or order pizza you can even do that online. Computers makes it easier for people to survive in the every day world. I mean they even have something for people with bad eye sight, you can make the text bigger on websites. So how can a computer not help us become successful in life?

If you know how to work on a computer than you know something that some people may not know. I think that everybody should learn how to use the computer because it makes you more advanced. If you have to make a resume for a job interview and you put "Works well on computers", then you will probably have a better chance at getting that job unless its a job walking dogs or being a maid. Although a lot of jobs don't rely on computers learning how to use one will make u depend on people less, you wont need to ask anyone for help because you will already know it.

So people may have different opinions on what you need in order to be successful in life but I think that one thing you should always know is how to work a computer. If you know how to work a computer when you apply for a job they might pick you over someone who does not work the computer, another reason is that pretty soon our whole lives will evolve around this thing. My last reason is that, well once you learn how to do something new you cant help but feel accomplished. So, wanna better chance at getting a job? Go get on a computer.

The Best Day Ever

It was last year May 6, 2008 to be exact, seventh grade in Mrs. Oubre's class. She was absent that day and I was only in honors for about 2 weeks. When I went into honors I only had 2 friends, Julissa and Jessica. We were always together, and since Mrs. Oubre was absent that day we all sat together in the back row. We had so much homework from the night before due, since we didn't do it but we finished it early. The sub let us do what ever we wanted, as long as our work was handed in. Me and Jessica were pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend, she was the "boy" and i was the girl. Stephanie suggested that we get "married" since we were always together. We were bored out of our mines so we decided to go along with it. Stephanie was our "lawyer" and she made all the papers. All me and Jessica had to do was sign them. We had ring pops posted on our ring fingers and of course they were our wedding rings.

Jessica and I had a copy of our marriage certificates hanging in our lockers, to prove that we were stuck with each other for life. Although this wasn't real it was the fact that she was my best friend and was willing to stick by me no matter what. We walked around the whole day with our ring pops, everybody was asking us whats with them and we just explained what we did. Jessica was the "husband" and I was the wife, everybody said we made a fine fake married couple. When we had our lockers open one of the 7th grade sub teachers read our certificates, since our lockers were right next to each other he figured it out and he told us that it was good practice for when we really get married.

Although we never took the marriage seriously, I mean we're only 14 and that's a little to young to be married. The whole purpose of "getting married" was because we wanted eachother to know that we would always be there for eachother. We were best friends for life, and we couldn't be happier. This was one of the best days of my life, and will always be no matter what happens.
